I don’t think that I have ever been so keen to get work on a project as much as I am with this CAL.

I sat eagerly waiting on the the Tuesday morning two weeks ago for the next instalment. When it came on the website just before 10am, I downloaded it, printed it and set to work!!

This instalment saw another 4 squares being created, the start of the large motifs for the outer part and the first bit of sewing up. The 4 squares started in very much the same manner as the previous ones but these ones had the introduction of leaves into the design. The way these are created is so simple but the method of linking them on a couple of rounds later is just genius!

Jane has created the CAL so that with each instalment every fortnight, the squares will get increasingly difficult so that people can learn new techniques as they go along without feeling overwhelmed with the skill level needed. With this is mind she has no saved the hardest section until last. Instead she decided to introduce this bit by bit each fortnight so at the end we will have created them ready for sewing up without having to stress over the more complicated piece right at the end. I live this and from reading the post on the facebook group, others are enjoying this too.

I actually finished these parts nearly a week ago and it is now Tuesday again and am so looking forward to getting started on the next instalment. I have been at work this morning so have had to wait patiently until I got home this afternoon to even have a look at the pattern!!

I have also been looking for another project to fill the days in-between. I finally found something last week, have ordered the yarn and it is on its way to me me as we speak and will be sharing details off this in coming weeks but don’t want to reveal anything just yet!!

Pete on the other hand has be so busy with his creations and he has had so many requests recently for new designs and these are all on their way to their new homes and we are currently in the process of finalising the patterns ready for sale on our Ravelry page. Take a look at the pictures below, they are awesome!!!

Well that’s it for this week

Take Care
