As you all know, this week was Valentines day! Pete, my wonderful husband managed to surprise me yet again with a card, roses and he even took the time to crochet me a rose. I had to go into work for a few hours on Friday morning and when I got home they were waiting for me on the kitchen table when I cam through the door. He never fails to surprise me so I thought I would take the opportunity to write a post about him, and what he has been working on recently. Luckily, his latest creations are now ready and I am able to share them all with you!

Pete has been thinking about these patterns for a while now and has been as eager as I am to get them out there. Now these two patterns are designed ready for Easter and 2 patterns are now available in our Ravelry store. Ravelry if you don't know is an amazing online platform for knitters and crocheters and currently houses an amazing database of patterns.

First off we have a full size Easter Bunny who sits beautifully holding a carrot. Our sample is made using Drops Nepal Yarn which is an Aran weight and finished sitting size is 20cm tall. He is really easy to make and will definitely be a hit with grownups and kids alike.

The second pattern is actually a set of three minis. It consists of a Mini Sheep, Mini rabbit and a chick in its egg. These patterns are a little more complicated with some different stitches in like bobble stitch.

All the patterns are fun to make and you get them now by Clicking Here.

What are we working on?

This week I have gotten back in to the swing of things and am just finishing up the final details on the doll that I started last week. It is taking me a little longer than usual with having to be at work extra and the amendments to the patterns that I am using is causing me great headaches!!! It is now nearly finished and I will share with you all once I have sent it to its new home.

Pete has been like a beaver this week and it still amazes me just how much he does in a couple of weeks. Long with the Easter patterns that he has finished, he has also been creating a commission for a friend.

He was asked by an old colleague if he could create a Brownie mascot for the local group and I am pleased to say that he has done it and it does look truly amazing!!When he first told me what he had been asked for I never thought that he would be able to do it. Boy was I wrong!! I know that he is so chuffed with how it came out and so was the recipient who came to collect it from us yesterday. She is so cute and although it came from a lot of trial and error, a lot of unpicking and redoing bits to get it right, it has finished up beautifully.

I think that the hair especially has come out great and the pigtails look amazing!!

Well that about wraps up this week. We will be attending Unravel next weekend so if you see us then please say hello!!

Take Care
